Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC), the world’s leading contract chipmaker, has begun ramping up production of its cutting-edge 2-nanometer (2nm) process, with primary operations centered at its Baoshan F20 fab in Hsinchu and the F22 facility in Kaohsiung. Under mounting pressure from both US clients and the Biden administration, TSMC is also accelerating development at its Arizona-based Fab 21 campus, making substantial changes to its original plans.
