A BLITZ on the sale of illegal vaping goods in Tasmania, led by the Therapeutic Goods Administration (TGA) and the Tasmanian Department of Health, has reinforced the Federal Government’s “zero-tolerance” policy on illegal vape sales.

The raids, carried out over two days with the help of police, resulted in seizures across five retail businesses for the alleged unlawful possession of commercial quantities of vaping goods and illegal tobacco.

Vaping products can only be supplied through a pharmacy for the purpose of helping people to quit smoking and manage nicotine dependence.
