Pegatron chairman backs TSMC’s U.S. move, warns Taiwan on ‘silicon shield’ risks

Pegatron Chairman T.H. Tung weighed in on Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company’s (TSMC) ambitious plan to invest over $100 billion in the United States, including the construction of three advanced wafer fabs, a research and development center for process improvement, and an advanced packaging facility.
