Peter Tran has been named as the 2025 PSA Locum Pharmacist of the Year, and Rachel Lawson the Intern Pharmacist of the Year.
Victorian pharmacist Peter Tran has locummed across most states and territories, including in rural and remote areas, where his empathetic approach and ability to build strong patient relationships have led to improved health outcomes for his patients.
He was also instrumental in uncovering a serious case of prescription fraud.
Meanwhile, Perth-based pharmacist Rachel Lawson was named as the 2025 PSA MIMS Intern Pharmacist of the Year, demonstrating passion and innovation in health promotion, harm minimisation and new models of service delivery.
Associate Professor Fei Sim presented the awards this morning during the opening plenary at PSA25.
