PHYTOLOGIC Holdings Pty Ltd is recalling one batch of Henry Blooms Infant Liquid D3 & K2 with Probiotic (9.75ml pack size) following reports that the supplied dosing syringe does not match the paediatric dosage instructions provided on the label.

The syringe graduations begin at 0.05ml and increase by 0.05ml, which do not match the labelled paediatric dosages for infants six to 12 months (0.038ml) and children between one and three years (0.075ml), potentially resulting in a higher delivered dose, and potential excessive intake of vitamin D3, K2, and probiotics.

While the health risk is low for healthy individuals, there may be an increased risk of hypercalcaemia from vitamin D toxicity if significantly higher than recommended doses are taken daily over a long period, and/or for individuals with serious underlying conditions.

The TGA has advised affected customers to avoid using the product, and return it to the place of purchase for a refund.
