- Mass General Brigham finds that ambient document technologies led to significant reductions in physician burnout. Mass General Brigham saw a 21.2% absolute reduction in burnout prevalence at 84 days, and Emory Healthcare saw a 30.7% absolute increase in documentation-rated wellbeing at 60 days.
- Abridge reports their approach to classifying, detecting, and eliminating hallucinations in notes before they reach clinicians for review at a higher rate than GPT-4o – their approach catches 97% of the confabulations, while GPT-4o only catches 82%.
- Looking into how AI could be the key to faster transitions for database migrations, Database found that 77% found AI effective in migrations, but 53% still lack clarity on how to best use AI tools.
- Propel Software found the medical device industry slow to adopt AI, with 76% medical device respondents stating that they don’t use AI in product processes.
- 97% of providers and 96% of payers agree that a strong data management approach gives them a competitive edge in the marketplace, but only 33% of surveyed providers and 31% of payers rate their data integration capabilities as “excellent,” finds Reveleer in their study on the new state of technology in value-based care.

- ASTP/ONC releases new data brief on the growth of health IT-enabled patient engagement capabilities among U.S. hospitals from 2021-2024, finding that in 2024, 8 in 10 hospitals had all foundational capabilities and 2 in 3 had all emerging capabilities enabling patients to view clinical notes and access information via apps.
- Cactus finds patients leave their appointments lost and confused, and turning to other sources, with 71% turning to WebMD post diagnosis, 40% using AI tools like ChatGPT, 24% using TikTok, and 24% stating that AI helps them understand their health better than their doctors do.
- Trilliant Health report reveals “commercially insured patients across the country pay widely varying amounts for the same procedure, the costs of which are primarily underwritten by employers. Across six inpatient procedures, negotiated rates varied by an average ratio of 9.1 across the country.”
