Rapidus has unveiled a working 2nm chip prototype, advancing Japan’s efforts to reestablish a foothold in leading-edge semiconductor manufacturing. The company aims to launch the world’s first fully integrated front-end and back-end 2nm mass production system by late 2027, with back-end pilot lines already underway.
