TERRYWHITE Chemmart (TWC)has announced Molly McGuire of TWC Wilsonton in Queensland as Pharmacist of the Year at its annual Masterclass, held in Adelaide last night (PD 24 Jun).
One of the highest honours in the network, the award recognises excellence in leadership, innovation, and impact.
McGuire, pharmacy owner and now pharmacist prescriber, was celebrated for her personal resilience, community leadership, and commitment to professional development and patient care.
Her achievements include launching mental health initiatives such as Friday ‘Conversation Starter Shirt Days’, mentoring young women and pharmacists in her community, and leading the development of patient-focused initiatives like concierge-style flu vaccination programs.
“Molly leads with integrity, care, and a deep sense of purpose,” said TWC Executive GM, Nick Munroe.
“She’s not only providing best-in-class pharmacy services, but she’s also creating a culture of compassion, inclusivity and innovation that elevates everyone around her.”
McGuire said she is “incredibly honoured” to receive the award.
“I see my role as a pharmacist as being about more than just dispensing medicines – it’s about being present for people when they need support, guidance, or simply a listening ear,” she shared.
Also recognised on the night was Tim Siv of TWC Clare in SA, who took home the Innovation in Community Care Award.
Siv has transformed pharmacy access in his rural community by introducing groundbreaking services, including one of the country’s first BD ROWA outdoor pickup systems, a CareClinic triage kiosk, and a parent-friendly consultation space with an adjoining kids play area.
The TWC Masterclass, which concludes today, also celebrated Jasmine Penny-Dimri of TWC Eudunda, SA, who was named Early Career Pharmacist of the Year for her impact as the solo pharmacist in a rural community of 800 people.
A city-raised graduate, Penny-Dimri relocated to Eudunda where she has upskilled rapidly and built deep connections with patients, including supporting complex chronic health journeys and administering specialist treatments. JM
